When her parents’ experimental treatment goes haywire, Neoma is dropped headfirst into a parallel world. A world full of new technology, odd superpowers, and terrifying monsters called Veil beasts.
Now she’s trapped in a research facility for those Veil beasts. Alone. Confused. And worst of all? She’s not even human anymore. That last part might explain why the researchers still won’t tell her when she can leave (though they don’t really tell her much of anything besides the weather at this point).
Escape is Neoma’s only option, but she might not be the only thing trapped down here in a concrete cell, and there’s no way of knowing if she’s strong enough to take on the world beyond these four walls.
